About

Iris started studying piano at the age of 4, she attended the masterclass of Bigang Chen when she was a teenager. In 2010, after injuring and stopping practice for two years, as a candidate who already obtained a degree in other fields, Iris went through the music audition(primary: piano; secondary: vocal) at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and started to take masterclasses with some faculty and Ph.D. in music performance. From there on, to broaden her scope, Iris has studied piano with a Latin Grammy Award Winner in Paris and a Judge of International Competition in Italy.

Though Iris never considers performance as her primary job, as a Fellow of Trinity College London (FTCL, equivalent to an artist diploma/master’s degree in solo piano performance), her music background led her from the He Lv Ting Concert Hall in China, to Smith memorial Hall and Benaroya Hall in the United States, to multiple churches and auditoriums in Europe.

Though as a ….. of …. in high-tech & media, her life is already tied up with a lot of responsibilities, due to her deep love of music, she still prepared the following repertoire for the season:

Bach Busoni Chaconne BWV1004 in D minor

Schubert Sonata D958 in C minor

Rachmaninoff Op.33 No.2

Rachmaninoff Prelude Op.33 No.3
